Collections

  • Empire Archival Discovery Cooperative (Empire ADC) – This platform houses finding aids from archives throughout New York. Add finding aids for your collection and increase their visibility to researchers around the state.
  • Empire State Immersive Experiences (ESIE) – This collection of 360⁰ images is a great way to showcase buildings, landmarks, and historical spaces in your community. Create a virtual walking tour of panoramic images and share your local treasures!
  • New York Heritage (NYH) – New York Heritage's photographs, documents, and other items from over 450 institutions present a glimpse into our state's diverse history and culture. In addition to these primary source materials, NYH’s digital exhibits and supporting materials are ideal for classroom use. Help us better represent and share New York’s heritage by adding items from your collection to NYH! (Did you know WNYLRC members can also borrow our physical banner exhibits, which were created using content from NYH collections? Learn more about the physical exhibits here)
  • New York State Historic Newspapers (NYSHN) – This repository contains over 1.4 million newspaper issues and covers nearly three centuries of history across all of New York’s counties. More newspapers are always welcome in this ever-growing repository.
