We’re pleased to offer access to the Candid Foundation Directory for all WNYLRC member organizations, thanks to our partnership with the Empire State Library Network (ESLN). This powerful online tool helps nonprofits discover funding opportunities by connecting them with over 240,000 U.S. grantmakers.
What is the Foundation Directory?
Candid’s Foundation Directory is a trusted grant research database used by nonprofit organizations to:
Identify potential funders
Research grantmaking trends
Access detailed profiles of private and corporate foundations, public charities, and grantmaking public agencies
Whether you're applying for operating support, programming funds, or special projects, this resource can help you build a strong case for support.
How to Access
To get started:
Visit the portal: https://access.esln.org
Create an account: Register here
After registering and setting your password, you'll be automatically logged in and can begin using the Candid Foundation Directory.
Important Usage Guidelines
For staff use only: This service is intended solely for staff of member institutions. It is not licensed for use by the general public, students, or patrons.
One account per staff member: Each user should create their own login for individual access and usage tracking.
