Strategic Planning Committee 2025:
The Western New York Library Resources Council (WNYLRC) is required by the New York State Board of Regents to draft a 5-Year Strategic Plan of Service every five years in partnership with the WNYLRC Board of Trustees and member libraries. There are two versions: a Plan of Service that goes to New York State and a Member Strategic Plan that outlines a series of specific goals and objectives. In the fall of 2024, the Strategic Planning Committee was formed from the WNYLRC Resource Sharing Committee and members of other standing committees and the WNYLRC Board. The committee conducted a general and hospital library services surveys as well as conducted focus groups targeting members in special collections, academic libraries, school libraries, and public libraries.
